For all the Concord Bridge fans out there, we just updated our website with content from the May issue. Six articles, a healthy dollop of Concord Bridge that's going to have to last you the summer...unless you have back issues of course. I'd like to point out my article, "Gulliver Unbound," which addresses the limits of multilateralism (with a nifty and unoriginal literary allusion in the title) and also the editorial I co-wrote with my esteemed co-editor Justin, "A Delicate Moment."

So I'm bored and reading other people's blogs, and I just came across this from the Raving Atheist: looks like the guy running the blog was contacted by a Nigerian Scam artist, and scammed him in return - sending 12 letters demanding answers to increasingly strange theological questions.
Just saw a beautiful exchange on a comment posted to Emperor Misha I realm:
Nah, my statement was more like, "Our government and society is much better than Cuba's, but has so many problems -- especially recently -- that any criticism we might make of Cuba is diminished by our own significant failures."

Nobody suspects the pretty pretty butterfly!
For all who are interested, the latest issue of Concord Bridge will be hitting the "news stands" over the next couple days. Some great pieces on the United States and multilateral institutions, among others. For those readers not at Brandeis, I'll be happy to mail an issue if you e-mail your mailing address to

Now that Iraq has all but been removed from the "Axis of Evil", many have wondered, who'se next [to fall off the axis]?

It look like the lucky winner may be...(drumroll)...Iran! No, not by the US military, but by its own population. According to this article from the Le Monde (via the Iran Press Service and Instapundit):
Iranian Regime worried by People's Pro-Americanism

The date to watch for appears to be July 9th, as this article from the NY Sun indicates

This will be an interesting even to monitor as it unfolds
